Leon Vaughn was a Pfc in the Army. He died on October 18th 1944.  He died on Anguar Island, Palau Islands.
The letter was dated 1942. I’m not sure when he went into service. From the sounds of it he had taken a previous class. He may have been studying to be an engineer. Only the letter is included(no envelope).
The letters came from the estate of his son(who was born 8 days after Leon’s death).
